Well I have been quite busy for the past few months doing some traveling and a bit of other new stuff. For one, I have been trying out the martial arts Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which is quite an exciting move for me. After a couple of months training I was fortunate enough to be able to join a tournament. Unfortunately though I lost.
Anyway, I am back and I think I won't be that busy. So for the mean time, I'm back and see you all around ^_^

I am back! And I am back for good. I have been quite busy doing all those heroic, save the day/ night stuff. I think I would like to take a break from all that and just focus on blogging for a while. It may not be as heroic as being a masked vigilante, but it sure won't give me any body aches or broken bones.
To start this new beginning, I am going out with friends to watch the new Batman Movie, my movie, The Dark Knight!

Well, someone once asked me why is the name of the blog "Bahala Na Si Batman" when not even a single image of the super hero can be seen in any of the pages. For the last time, I would just like to make it clear that "Bahala Na Si Batman" is just a term, a slang if you may, which simply means "whatever will be, will be." And just for the sake of that person who I asked, I also created that simple logo on top. I really think it's kinda cute... what do you think? ^_^

I never really was an American Idol fan although I do have a fair knowledge of the different past winners and the genre of music from which excel in.
However, in American Idol Season 7, something is different. The two David's in the finals belong to two different poles. One David belongs to the pop genre while the other belongs to rock and I like the latter much better. This is also the reason why I put all my money on David Cook.
Why?
No one else in the rock genre have become an American Idol before. Yes in the past season there was this other guy (whose name I forgot) had everything but did not win. That is why this time, I would like for David Cook to win - a non-typical American Idol candidate.
Well everything turned out well since David Cook won.

I have been very busy for the past few weeks with work and other stuff. And by stuff I mean important things. I haven't gone home for the couple of days already because my computer monitor, which by the way I just borrowed, was not functioning properly anymore. Trying to save up for a new monitor or a new laptop - the little UMPC called Asus EEE PC perhaps.

I've been searching the Internet for the past few days of new TV series. Unfortunately, I get easily tired of searching and end up without nothing. I just want to watch something light - perhaps a comedy tv series. Do you have any suggestions?

Last night we decided to have a movie marathon. The theme of the night was "scary movie" night. No, it's not the "Scary Movie" movies that we watched. First on the list was Wrong Turn. It was the typical, "Scream" or "I Know What You Did Last Summer" kind of flick where a group of friends go together but in the end only 1 or 2 persons survive. Wrong Turn 2 was next on the list but it was not that different with its prequel.
Third on the list was the movie Hostel 2. We were able to watch Hostel 1 and I really liked it so I had high hopes for the part 2. I really liked the twist in the ending. The last movie we watched was The Invisible. Unlike the previous movies, this was lighter and was not actually that scary. It was more like of a drama.
We start at 11 pm and we are able to sleep 830 am. Talk about a marathon...

SSDD - This is an acronym I got from the movie Dream Catcher and I just thought that this was the perfect term to describe my day today. Nothing new, nothing unusual, just the same old sh*t you usually experience everyday. 'nuff said.

A new planet has been discovered by Spanish astronomers and they named it GJ 436T. It has been discover using a new technique in astronomy that would likely speed things up in the search for planets resembling earth.
GJ 436T is located outside the Milky Way Solar System 30 light years away from earth. It is considered to be the smallest planet ever discovered outside the our solar system. GJ 436T has 5 times the mass of the planet Earth.
Unfortunately, this newly discovered planet is uninhabitable due to the fact that its distance from its star is quite near.
Maybe someday, in the not-so-distant future, scientists may be able to find a planet that will be inhabitable or is already inhabited by other beings with the help of newer technologies.

Ever since I was in primary school, I have always had a TV in my own room. I guess my parents thought it really wouldn't do me any harm. However, a recent study shows that TV in bedrooms in teens prove to be unhealthy.
A research was conducted on several hundreds of teens. Those who have TVs in their room were observed to clock in more hours on the tube more than those who don't. It has also been known that those who did have TVs in their own rooms had lower grades to those who don't.
This is not only a concern of academics. It is also an issue of health. Kids who have TVs in their own room has a greater possibility of becoming obese since teens will have less time to do exercises let alone other vigorous works.
After reading this article, I looked again at the mirror... I guess this the effect of me having my own TV in my room. hehe ^_^

Coffee has always been my best buddy. It has never failed to give me the energy boost whenever I need it. However, a friend of mine recently suggested that instead of taking in coffee, I should drink tea. Compared to coffee, tea supposedly gives more health benefits. Included are the ability to fight off certain cancers and heart diseases.
Given the fact that trying tea wouldn't do me no harm, I followed my friend's advice. It has already been 3 days since I started that instead of drinking coffee for those instances that I drink coffee, I drink tea. It's actually good and all and I really love the taste - delicious. However, I think I'm experiencing some withdrawal symptoms from coffee. So what should I do? Stay with coffee or continue with tea?

Apple unveiled the thinnest laptop in the world the Mac Book Air. It has a height of 0.16-0.76 inch, width of 12.8 inches, depth of 8.94 inches and weighs around 3.0 pounds. The first time I saw this laptop on TV my jaw just dropped in awe. More so when it was demonstrated that it can fit inside a long brown envelope.
Despite its thin size, the laptop Mac Book Air packs quite a punch when it comes to hardware specifications. The processor of this laptop is an Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 4MB on-chip shared L2 cache running at full processor speed with an 800Mhz frontside bus. It's RAM is a whopping 2 GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM. In terms of hard disk space, the laptop Mac Book Air has a 80 GB Parallel ATA Drive.
The best thing about this laptop for me however is its looks. Nobody just can't seem to beat the Mac laptops when it comes to this department - very slick physical design combined with an eye candy OS X.
The only problem with the Mac Book Air, as well as its predecessors, is the fact that it's quite a bit pricey compared to normal laptops. The Mac Book Air costs around $1800 but with specs that would only compare to a $1000 laptop. It's like paying another extra $800 dollars for the looks and the brand name.
I really wouldn't recommend this laptop to anyone who prefer specs better than looks. But if you are willing to sacrifice looks for specs or if you can afford to buy such equipment without any fuzz, then go ahead. As for me, I'll just be looking at them through pictures for now.

Some of you may not be familiar with this term. It is actually a Filipino slang which is tantamount to saying that phrase from the song "Que sera sera - Whatever will be, will be". And just like that phrase, this blog will be about anything, everything and nothing - bahala na si batman.
